Rachele's Summer Picks
When Stella, a math nerd with Asperger's with not a drop of experience in love or relationships, hires escort Michael Phan in order to "learn from a professional", she gets a lot more out of their blossoming partnership than she bargains for. This diverse, steamy, can't-put-it-down read made me laugh and cry. I loved this unique take on dating and relationships, and enjoyed every second, and hope you do too!

Red, White and Royal Blue is a phenomenal enemies to fake-friends romance between the First Son of the United States Alex and Prince Henry of England. This truly is a special story, with a plot that will keep you invested the whole way through, to the cinnamon-roll main characters and the supportive camrades that guide them. One of my favorite couples of all time, this LGBT love story won't leave a single dry eye in the house.
When the entire wedding party get food poisoning at the reception, Olive and her sworn enemy Ethan are the only two left unscathed. With an all-expenses paid trip to Hawaii up for grabs, so they decide to put their differences aside, until a chance encounter with Olive's boss leads to a lie that keeps growing. Writing duo Christina Lauren never misses the mark, and the Unhoneymooners will have you dreaming of mai-tais and beaches this summer!
This first book in the Hidden Legacy series is a dynamite paranormal romance I read in a single sitting! It follows detective Nevada Baylor, a detective with magic powers, and Connor, a “mad” billionaire in a bingeable story with a slow-burn romance, an amazing family dynamic with real, fleshed out characters, and a page-turning plot! The magic system in this series is so interesting and unlike any other I’ve read, and I enjoyed every moment.
A slow-burn, hate-to-love romance from Sally Thorne sees Lucy and Josh as nemeses for life. Both highly competitive, they try to one-up each other at every turn. Trapped in a tiny office together for 50 hours every week has taken its toll, but slowly they begin to realize that maybe they don't hate each other after all. Lucy and Josh's workplace shenanigans and hijinks had me laughing and cringing at the same time, and is funny with every re-read!
As a huge fan of the Martian, I wasn't sure this book would be able to live up to the hype, but it absolutely did. The setting of an alternative world set on the moon was a highlight of the story, as well as the main character, criminal Jazz Bashara. It kept me fully-immersed all the way through, and the signature humor found in Weir's books was refreshing and delightful.
This explosive thriller is set in Heatherbrae House in the Scottish countryside, a luxurious and larger-than-life "smart" home, with around-the-clock surveillance, & dangerously disfunctional technology. Here we meet Rowan, the new live-in nanny for a wealthy family with three kids. But one night, one of the children end up dead putting her in prison for murder. This thriller will keep you guessing at every turn, and is sure to satiate any urge for a good spine-tingling suspense!
